She tries to play with him but he doesn’t want to so most of the time she just leaves him alone or lays beside him a few feet away My husband loves her. Every night when he gets home she meets him at the door and then after dinner sits on his lap while we have our family television time. She is good for our family. We needed some happiness. My Mother, the kids’ Grandma, was killed last Christmas and then we lost our Chihuahua a month ago, so it’s been hard for us lately. Thank you very much, Elena, for best puppy on the world!
Please keep my email and contact information. If you ever find yourself with a puppy difficult to place or whatever along down the line, let us know. Perhaps we’d be ready to add another and it would fit in to our budget. We’re so in love with Stella. I doubt it’s ever hard to place your puppies because they are just perfect.

DANKA AFTER FIRST VET VISIT
Danka had her vet visit today. All was well. The vet said she was the healthiest, best looking french bulldog puppy she’s ever seen on a first vet visit. Perfect form, weight, eyes, skin and ears. They couldn’t read her tattoo number/letters and neither could I. Would you be able to tell me what it is? I want to keep a record of it if she ever is lost so we’d have an identifying mark and the vet will keep it also just in case. They cross reference their chipped and tattoo’d dogs in case any of them are ever lost to help out their owners.
Thank you,
Michelle

He is very athletic. A wonderful companion he never leaves our side. He weighs around 60 lbs now but the vet thinks that he may top the charts between 70-80… We still can’t thank you enough. We hope all is well and attached are some recent photos of him. Take care and we look forward to hearing from you.

Adam in his new home in Ohio, after one year

Hi Elena, Wanted to send a couple of pictures of the precious little angel you both provided us with. I purchased Adam, now named Boss, for my boyfriend’s birthday gift last April. He has been nothing but a joy and gift to the family. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. His personality, spunk, loyalty, and presence is enough to make any day an amazing day. Life wouldn’t be the same without our new child Bossie. Please see attached photos of our baby. Thank you for presenting us with a gift from God…
Sincerely, Lindsey, Rich and Boss!

I called you guys with a problem that Taisa was having and instead of taking Taisa back and replacing her with another puppy you guy’s went above and beyond your own contract and let me keep Taisa and send me another top quality pup i mean that to me means the world goes to show that this is not a business for you guys like most other breeders but this is actually your passion. i would recommend any body to you and i got to say i will never get a pup from any were else but to what is none to me now as the best French bulldogs/English bulldog breeders CHAMPIONPUPS Thanks Again Eric and family.
THANK YOU!
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Merrill, I don’t know where to start. I purchased an English Bulldog from you named Pearl last June. I can’t tell you how much pleasure and love I get from her. She has a great personality. I’ve never seen her show anger or nip anyone… all she likes to do is Play, eat, sit on my lap and sleep. She is a year old this month and is in top health. I can’t tell you both how wonderful she is. I’m so happy with her and that I just want to let you know she is the joy of my life. Every time I take her out people stop me to tell me what a beautiful dog she is and where did I get her and I always give your name and address/email address. I know that you both like to know how your puppies are doing. I just want to say Thank You for selling her to me. I could go on with pages of how wonderful she is and how much I love her. I added to her name and I call her Pearl Bailey… like I’ve said just a short note to say she is the best and thank you for selling me a beautiful Bulldog. I’m so lucky to have her and she brings joy to my life everyday. Regards Robert Sugg.

Both are very smart dogs and I think they will be very easy to train. You did well raising them Elena thank you so much. I have attached a few pictures I took and will continue to send more to you as they grow. I am taking both dogs to the vet in a day or two and will have the paperwork filled out and will send it to you. I also wanted to know if you would send me their food regime that we talked about. I remember what you said and have been doing it but I would still like it in writing. I forget how long I am supposed to feed them science diet small puppy bites before I switch over to the other type of food. Thank you so much for the puppies, they are amazing. I have already recommended you to a few friends who are considering buying either french bulldogs or an english bulldog. I will keep in touch with you.

Panochka in her new home in AZ
Elena, Baby Panochka arrived at 1245 pm on Tuesday April 28. She seemed very shy when I picked her up. She is coming out of her shell. She has learned to come up the ramp from the back yard after going potty. She has not figured out how to go down or figured out the doggy doors, but shes young and she will get it. We have a ramp so that our dogs do not have to jump up steps coming into the house. Bad for the back. She slept with me the first night and each night shes been with me. She has her own crate and enjoys her quiet time. She goes in when she wants to rest after playing with Jacques her big brother, seal brindle w/whi chest 19 month old frenchie. He loves her. Our other frenchie, brindle and white 21 month old Alma have not hit it off just yet, but Alma has 3, 2 week old puppies so shes still a bit overbaring. She’ll come around.
Panochka was taken to the vet yesterday and was not found to have any problems. Dr. Shawn Parker signed off on her guarantee papers. I will make a copy for my files and send the originals back to you. I wanted you to have an update on Panochka and know that I love her and she is everything I expected. Thanks again Patty Felcher — Ozark AR.

What do you recommend for dog food? Kobe is on Science Diet Puppy food right now and he’s almost 5 months old. Do you recommend switching to something else? What do you think? One last thing, I can’t read the tattoo number on Kobe. Do you know what the number is? I hope you’re enjoying your trip in Europe. We’ll keep in touch. Thank you very much. Steven Lin

«FUTURE BUYER»
Hi Elena and Phillip, How is your day? My name is Destiny I work as a canine supervisor for a humane society. I am interested in purchasing a french bulldog when my fiance get back from deployment. I have done a lot of research on the breed and I will say you web site intrigued me the first would be the care that went in to letting the public know that you do not over breed your pets and you do not use them for money. I was wondering where you are located and if I could come see your dogs in the next two or three months. That would be the most important thing to me. I am very interested in getting a male. also wondering the prices of you precious pups.
Destiny
Elena and Phillip — great people!
I bought a French Bulldog puppy from Elena and Phillip Merrill in 2008. A French Bulldog puppy we named Taisa which came to me here in New York .The Puppy was in great health and the transaction went great as well. There was no problems to speak of. Tasia as she got older about a yr after I had bought her from Elena and Phillip she had a Uterus Pro lapse witch was unexpected and something that happens naturally no body’s fault but this would make her unable to be bred. I called up Elena and Phillip immediately with the issue that we had with the dog. Elena and Phillip went over the contract with me that they have and I signed and agreed to. I seen that in all honesty the problem that she had was not a genetic problem but more of a natural problem and that they were not liable at all (There Contract covers Genetic Problems that can occur in a dog only not natural issues). Also if that was the case for the contract to be fulfilled I would have to send back Taisa and then receive a replacement puppy of there choice. Elena and Phillip being the great people that they are went above and beyond there own contract and send me another puppy we call Xena and allowed me to keep the previous dog that we had bought from her for $2,500 I could not believe that Elena send me a replacement pup of my choice that I seen advertised on there web site for $3,000.00 if that does show the integrity of this couple I don’t know what else will. Thank you — championpups! You are the best of the best!

She plays as hard with our other 2 house dogs both Frenchies. As all frenchie familys know, you can’t just have one, there like potato chips. She has remained very short with a beautiful cobby body. She is very compact and is deceiving when you pick her up. She’s heavier then she looks. Still has her beautiful ears as you can see from the pictures. I / we love her. She’s her daddies girl. If he’s home she would rather be napping in his lap instead of playing. She will stay there for hours. It’s really funny. If he tries to ignore her she won’t have any of that and talks to him until he gives in and picks her up. She’s got him trained real well. I will keep you updated on her progress. Patty from Arkansas

He is very playful with other dogs, has a lot of energy then. But he definitely gets his naps in during the day. We are starting to see his personality come out. He loves meeting people, and loves all the attention he gets when we take him out on walks. We appreciate all your help, all the advice you’ve given us to help us raise Hogan well! We will keep in touch!

Marika (Laya) in her new home in California
Hi, My name is Karen Struble. I bought a puppy from you a couple weeks ago. I think you called her «marika» born 5-15-9. Anyhow. I just wanted to get in touch with you. We have named her «Laya» as in princess leia from star wars the movie. The kids named her. She has a beautiully sweet personality when she isn’t eating your toes. She loves balls, fetching balls, toes, socks, and riding a boogie board (with an adult only) in the pool. If you drag her bed into another room, she likes to jump on that too and go for a ride. We are trying to train her to ring a bell to go to the bathroom since the only time she barks is when she wants up on the bed to attack you.

Hi Elena, Josh and I bought two puppies from you last December. We named them Koa and Nani, and they have just turned one year old. I just wanted to update you and send a photo. They are both doing great, they keep each other company and love to play and sleep on their bed together. We love our puppies and wanted to thank you for helping us make our family bigger and happier. Sincerely, Kate and Josh Swoboda
Harvey in his new home in California

When will he not be considered a puppy anymore and when do we change to the Adult multivitamins? Any other things we should start to give him or do differently since he is getting older?
He will be 1 on December 25. I have attached some pictures for you as well. Oh one more thing, is there anything special that you do to remove tear stains? They are not bad but I was just curious. Take care.

Thanks for Our Wonderful Puppy!

But, we are so happy with her! She has been such a great puppy & so far our experience has been much better than we expected. She has responded to training so well and quickly got down potty training and commands like sit, stay, and come! And she is the biggest sweetheart! She loves to cuddle and is so friendly with other people and other dogs!
We get stopped on the street all the time because people want to pet her and all my friends have offered to puppysit anytime so I never thought that would happen =)
Anyway, she has been great and I just wanted to thank you! My fiance has been away on deployment in Afghanistan for the last 2 months and I must say Dexy is such a great companion to have while he is away! Thanks and enjoy the pictures!

He is in pristine health and doing very well with crate and potty training. Everyday I am amazed by how intelligent he is, and how much he is constantly learning and retaining.
Every person who meets him cannot believe how well behaved and handsome he is and I am left beaming with motherly pride! He is 16 pounds and has really grown into his ears, which are still huge and absolutely adorable. I just wanted to thank you both for helping us find this perfect little monster and let you know that he is doing quite well. He goes on 45 minutes walks every evening and holds his own play fighting with my father’s catahoula leopard dog who is 4 times his size. He is the perfect dog and we cannot recommend you as breeders enough.
Thank you again. Rebecca.

Magda (Maya) in her home in California

I just wanted to give you an update with Maya (formerly known as Magda 5-15-2009). Maya is doing amazing! We love her even more and more every day! She’s very healthy and is up-to-date on all her shots and vet visits. She’s quite heavy (of course) but very playful and active.

She gets along well with other dogs and most especially loves ALL people. She’s such an obedient pup! We’re very happy with her! She can sit, lay down, jump, come, stay, hand you her paw/shake «hands» and she’s learning more!
We’re having so much fun with her. It’s hard work raising a bulldogs, but its totally worth it! I’m sure you know. She’s such a gorgeous and amazing bulldog. I’ve attached a few pictures. I’m sure you’ll love them! They are taken by a good photographer friend. Some pictures are taken in July 2009 and the more recent ones are taken in October 2009. Thank you so much with helping us when she had cherry eye :) Her eyes have been healthy and clear! :D Thanks so much. You and Phil are amazing! Thank you so much! I hope to hear from you soon!! :)

«Beauty» Update — Northern California

She is understanding her commands, but having some difficulty learning to poo poo and pee outside. However, she is getting better at not doing her «duty» in the house. She’ll get it, we’re certain of that. She is still spunky (which is perfect for us!), and very, very loving. She will have a good, long, exciting life with us — I promise! Thank you for «Beauty» now named «Zoahlie» or «Zoey» here in Northern California. Pictures attached, hope you like them. We are in our house with our other dogs; at my mom’s house for Christmas; hiking in a state park in Bend, Oregon; in the snow in Oregon.
Thanks again, Angela (No. California)
