I am sending you some pictures of Regina. We love her. She has adjusted very well to her new home. I am also sending you a picture of our other dog with her. Hope you like them.
Also I was wondering if you could email me some pictures of her parents. I am very interested in seeing what they looked like. I had seen Monte Cristo. He is a very good looking dog. Are they related? If not we might be interested in a male from his parents if they have any sometime down the road.
Let me know what you think.
Krisann.
Hi,Elena.
I just wanted to send you new pictures. I have been saying for a while now that I was going to.
She is doing very good. She is very playful. We can’t leave anything on the end tables because she gets a hold of everything and rips it to shreds. She loves to play and shred empty pop cases.
She makes a very good guard dog. She barks at other people walking their dogs down the street. She goes after their dogs. We are trying to teach her not to do that. That is very hard.
She has learned that when she goes outside and is ready to come in before our other dog that she can jump up in the chair and look in the window so that we know she is ready to come in.
Well, I hope you enjoy these new pictures.
Krisann.
Hello Elena,
I wanted to send you my address for her papers… She is doing fine with the high er altitude and I have learned my lesson not to feed her barbecue brisket in tiny bites. She really wanted some and it was so tender and delicious, but was not so good on the way back out.
She is the star of our house and friends fall in love the minute they see her. She loves to play a running game where she dashes through the house round and round then wants to be held… which I am glad to do. I’m planning to get her microchipped in hopes of never losing her. I keep my eye on her just like when my 2 children were babies because she is my baby. I wish I could get 3 or 4 more dogs from you. Maybe some day!
Sincerely Jackie.
it has been a wonderful 8 days getting to know this little girl. The first day here she learned to sit and wear a halter to go outside. I didn’t want to use a collar that might choke her she is so full of energy! The first few nights she and i slept on a bed in an extra bedroom just to get the feeling of her potty times. We are still working on that but she gets a certain look, starts to sniff and is ready to go outside. By her 4th night she was in our king-size bed sleeping between my husband and I like queen of the house which she is! Her coat is so smooth and beautiful I have a tiny brush that I brush her with and she likes it… she also gets to chew on it a little.
My husband son age 16 and daughter age 22 are as in love with her as I am… my sister was right she is the one for me!!! If you don’t mind I will write to you again soon to tell you of our adventures.
Many thanks to you and your husband for making this adventure possible! We love this little doll like she was our daughter… sincerele jacqueline deVise-sharber.
Elena,
Maggie is doing great! Her and my bull mastiff just love each other. They are so fun to watch.
I’ll send some photos for you.
Thanks,

Dear Elena,
I saw your updated website and the pup that I purchased from you back in November of 2005. You have him listed as «Fredy» on your website, being purchased by me (spelled Rebbeka on your website). I just wanted to say thank you very much for such a truly wonderful dog! His name now is Yuri and he is just the best! He comes with me to the office everyday and then home at night to play with his two Boston Terrier brothers. I am so grateful to you for such a wonderful addition to our family! I will definitely be back again for my next Frenchie! I have included some recent pictures of Yuri for you to see. Thank you again!

Elena,
I wanted to send you some new pictures of my little boy moe, even though he’s not so little anymore. I also wanted to ask you again if you can put us in contact with anyone else who might want to breed their bulldog… I see so many pictures of so many beautiful puppies you have sold I’m sure there must be some owners who wish to have puppies of their own.
Thank you very much!
Sincerely, Caty.
Elena,
Thank you so much for my precious baby, Rocko. He has truly been a joy to my life and has such an amazing personality. I named him after my nephew who passed away, and when I received his papers I realized Rocko’s birthday was the day after my nephew’s birthday. He has grown into such a good looking Frenchie. Rocko also became a dad on August 18, 2006 to 6 adorable frenchies-3 boys/3 girls! The puppies are all adorable and doing very well. Well, thank you again for my baby boy, I don’t know how I lived without him before now. I will definately be getting another frenchie from you in the future.

Hi Elena ,
I just wanted to let you know that Mandarin-Marshall is doing fine. He is basiclly house broke. I have never had a pup, learn that so fast.
He is very smart! Mandarin-Marshall loves to run and play with my Austrailian shepard (ACE). Ace is happy to have a new friend to play with. Thanks so much for sending me his parents papers.
I like to make record book of my dogs, with as much history as I can fine and baby photos ect…
I like to take a lot of photos and keep track of how they grow and how they do in the show ring and anything else we do together. Any more info you could send me would be great!
I would like to thank you once agian for letting us have such a great pup.
It is a dream come true for Jim and me.
Tina and Jim from Cincinnati Ohio.
Hi Elena,
How are you? We just got back from our dog show. Jim took Mandarin-Marshall over to watch the French bulldogs, oh boy did Mandarin-Marshall turn some heads! People were asking all about Mandarin-Marshall, questions like were did we get him from ,how much did we pay for him, ( one lady said we must have paid at least 3 thousand for him). and the big question was,are you showing him today. We told them that as soon as we get his papers we will show him. The handlers seemed to be relieved that they did not have to show against him for now. Frenchie people really like the way Mandarin’s-Marshalls body was built. And of course they loved his color. Mandarin-Marshall took the weekend with great happiness. nothing seemed to spook him. He loved staying at the hotel. This means a lot when you are traveling to shows. I have friends that take their dogs to shows and it makes their dogs nervous. Ace (my Aussie) showed ok for his first show. In his class he took a first on Sat. and a second on Sunday
I like the photos on you web sight,
talk to you later Tina.

My husband and I bought Batist from Elena and Phillip Merrill in August ’06. He is absolutely a wonderful puppy. During the period of us buying our puppy from Phillip & Elena we got to know them really well and they are great people. If there is anything you need to know about a French Bulldog, they are the ones to ask.
I highly recommend them to anyone for a breeder because their puppies are great!
Dear Elena!
I wanted to send you the latest pictures of Tootsy and our new addition Danilla. It was such a loving act of kindness from championpups.com to send me this loving boy after the loss of our Sherif. Danilla has help us, my son in particular, elevate the pain of losing such a loved Sherif.
Danilla is different in some ways but when it comes to giving love, he gives it all the time. Tootsy and Danilla are inseparable and partners in crime. Again, thank you Elena of Championpups.com for another wonderful Frenchie.
I will highly recommend you to anyone looking to purchase this breed. You are wonderful and knowledgeable breeders.
Sincerely, Widillia.

She has so many unique things about her that make life so much enjoyable! She’s so funny to watch and see how she observes different situations in her day to day experiences in life! She’s so SPOILED it’s not even funny! :) She’s the QUEEN, what more can we say! She FAT AND HAPPY!! She loves everyone so much and loves to go play outside and play tuggy and is definatly THE SOCK MONSTER! She will take them right off your feet and find when your not looking! She’s when you eat something and wont give her ANY, or if you dont share! :( She doesn’t care what it might be, she just wants it! Loves to pluck kleenex’s out of the box when your not looking, then she’ll tear them into a bunch of tinny peices, and she thinks it’s cute! :) Our other dog (Dutchess) loves to treat her like she’s her own baby, and keeps her clean! Love’s to sleep right next to you, until you start to get hot then she’ll move down to the other end of the couch. She’s been so much fun, we can’t thank you enough for her! She’s been a blast to have as our own! She’s deffinatly a pet we have never one like, but she does like to make some goofy sounds, you have NEVER HEARD before!!! We’ll keep you posted on how she’s doing! Thanks again!

Marmelad in his new home in Venice, California
Hi Elena,
Hope you are well. Just to give you little update on Marmelad, he is fabulous, picked him up Monday took him home to check out his new digs, we then went to the vet, he has an ear infection, probably the flight, so I have drops for him, everything else all good, feeding him chicken & rice. He had a slight bit of diarreha, but good now! I love love him, he is wonderful….Put the biggest smile on my face. We ended up having to do a photo shoot on Thursday with Avril Lavaigne, the singer, she wants to be his new dog sitter! He is adored! He sleeps in my bed, in my neck as you said Elena!, He loves heaters. Going to start training him next week, he is getting used to his lead…Misses you both! I will post off his vet record at weekend & send you photos. I hope you don’t mind I am going to call him archie, do you like? I think it suits him, I don’t want to confuse him but think it is quite him.
Speak next week,

CHRISTY in her new home in Cincinnati Ohio
Dear Elena and Phil,
I hope all is going well for you and your family with Christmas upon us in two days. It doesn’t seem like it was a week ago that we met and took our Frenchie home with us. She is an absolute hit with everyone! Our daughters took pictures of her to school, and ever since Monday evening, their friends have come over to see her. Our youngest, Katie, whom you met, is on the Finneytown Women’s basketball team, and sure enough, the whole team came over to see her. She has handled this much attention very well. You were quite right when you told us she is playful — what an entertainer!
Across the board, those who have seen her say they have never heard of French Bulldogs, let alone ever seen one. Several times I showed them your website and linked to your «sold puppies» page to give them an idea of what she will become.
Our three other dogs are each adjusting to her in their own way. Hunter is our 11-yr Golden Retreiver. With her in the house, we now call him ‘Grandpa.’ He lets her crawl all over him and chew his ears. Our 6-yr fawn Pug is named Pug, but we now call him ‘Uncle P.’ He is the least enamered with her; he just keeps his distance. Bodie is our 4-yr bkack Pug; now called ‘Uncle B’ has accepted her almost immediately, and the play and romp when they’re not eating, sleeping, or working on housebreaking her. As you would guess, all the regular exercise and the regular feeding schedule makes it easier to predict her need to go out to the fenced bakyard for a nature break. She’s doing fairly well in that regard.
Are you growing tired of me beating around the bush regarding her name? It is Lucy, as I think we mentioned we were considering when we came back with the checkbook. We were inspired by the name of one of your other pups, Luchiya.
And by the way, as I expected she would be, Deborah was brought to tears at the sight of Lucy. Thank you more than I can express for the great job you do in breeding these wonderful dogs. I could tell as soon as we met you that this is more than a business for you both. I’d love for you to meet Deborah and Alexandra, our oldest daughter (I brought Victoria (16) and Katie (14) with me last week) and for them to meet you and have a chance to see your family of bulldogs.
I pray you have a blessed Christmas and wish you the best for the coming year.
Pete
PS: Here’s a shot of Lucy with Uncle B!
Hi Elena and Phil!
Just wanted to thank you both for making the process of purchasing a puppy such a wonderful experience. Oreana is even more beautiful then in her pictures. Everyone thinks she is just the cutest puppy ever and even the vet told me that she was one of the best bred french bulldogs she’d ever seen. She is such a sweetie, too. She cuddles with me and gives me lots of love and she gets along great with my other two dogs. She seems to like it here in Las Vegas. Her favorite activity (aside from playing with my other dogs and fighting her reflection in the mirror) seems to be laying out in the sun by the pool. I can tell that you raised her with love and I want to let you know how much I appriciate you taking such good care of her until I found her. She is perfect. And I will be buying from you again in the future (when I can find the space for another!).
Thank you also for the cute jacket. It has come in handy at night since it gets a little chilly. I will be sending back the signed heath gaurentee sometime this week (she checked out great, just worm belly but it was not a big deal and she’s over it already). I will keep in touch and send you pictures so you can see her grow. Thank you so much. We love her. Please feel free to have future owners contact me as a reference anytime.
With sincere gratitude,
Kristen
Dear Elena and Phill.
I wanted to send you pictures of Misha and myself and hopefully you could see the love. You could never imagine how much I love Misha. He has become my companion and closest friend. We do have our occasional disagreements but we always make up. He is such a smart pup and has me wrapped around his paw. He attends dog training every saturday and has become the popular one in the bunch. I thank you so much for connecting us.
I will keep you updated as we socialize with your other Frenchies now living in New Jersey.
Daly and «Misha».
I wanted to send you my most updated picture of Queen Tootsy. I call her the Queen because even though she is younger than Danilla, she makes him look like a prince who follows her around. I have to put her on time out while Danilla eats or drinks water. She stands in front of him and dares him to move so he just sits there until I move her out of the room. This week I had an awful scare with these two partners in crime. Of course Tootsy is the leader and Danilla the follower. I just spent over $7000.00 putting in a vinyl fence to keep them from leaving my yard. As you remember, that is how I lost my beloved Sheriff. Well, the Queen dug a hole under the fence and Danilla followed and they were gone for over 2 hours. My heart was in my hand at the same time wondering who do I explain this one to Elena. Well my son and I covered over 10 acres of woods and ponds calling their names. We called and called non-stop. Well low and behold they must of heard us and they found their way back home. I was so relieved and thrilled that I had not lost my babies. After a good talking too, they realized they did what they were not supposed to do. Of course they got no biscuit for doing what they did but they did get a chewy for finding their way back home. All I can tell you and Phil is that these dogs are extremely smart. I will be microchiping them very soon in case Tootsy decides to take Danilla for another walk. I love my babies.
Widillia
Thank you so much for such a healthy puppy! As you can see,her health check-up went very well! The women at the Vet wanted to keep her for herself because she has such a sweet temperment!!!
As you can see Alina (Lyla) and Prince are getting along very well. Prince is becoming very protective of her. They play tag with each other, they eat together (2 separate bowls)and sleep together! I will send photos of her every so often. Thanks again for everything!

Zolly in his new home in Cincinnati Ohio
Dear Elena, Thank you for the opportunity to own such an amazing dog. I have had Shar-Pei’s for over 20 years and never thought I would ever consider another breed. I had lost a most beloved female and my boys had not been the same since her death. When I contacted you to come and see your dogs I had no real intention of buying a dog. I thought I might want a smaller dog, but my main goal was to see and learn more about the French Bulldog breed since I knew nothing about them. Seeing the parents as well as the offspring, I felt, would give me a much better idea of the breed as a whole. You were so kind and gracious to me and I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I went to your home. I have bred Shar-Pei’s and have had more than a few champion puppies come out of my litters so I know a well bred dog when I see one. All of your dogs had the most beautiful coats, the most wonderful personalities and they were the total pictures of health. I fell instantly in love with them. Every puppy was of such a high quality it was hard to choose one. You listened to me carefully and understood exactly what I was looking for and I was a little more than surprised when you selected my puppy for me. I have always chosen my own animals, but in the end you picked the perfect puppy to best suit my needs. Zolly was the ideal dog for me. She is so sweet and loveable. You just can’t help but fall in love with her. My two male Shar-Pei’s just love her and I was so worried that Heathcliff would not get along with her, but I am happy to report he is totally smitten by her. My vet was very impressed with her also. He told me she is one of the nicest French Bulldogs he has seen and he is very familiar with the breed. I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for me. Your dogs are the absolute best and I would never consider buying from another breeder. I am sending pictures to show you how happy and relaxed she is in her new home. I would recommend your dogs to anyone. They are the best of the best!
LuAnn.
I just wanted to thank you for providing us with such a wonderful second French Bulldog puppy. We’ve decided to name Jermon, Logan. He’s adjusted really well since arriving at our home in Columbus. He and our current French Bulldog Riley, absolutely love each other. They are great playmates for one another.
It was so hard for us to make a decision on what puppy we wanted to bring home after looking at all of your beautiful dogs. Logan was the perfect choice for our family.
Thanks again for everything and we wish you much happiness as you move to San Francisco. We’ll send pictures of the dogs soon.
Sincerely, Kim & Andy.
Larisa in her new home in Ohio
Hi Elena, I really enjoyed meeting you and your husband, yesterday. It was nice to see, how much you care about your dogs. Larisa is doing better today. She got sick and was throwing up, most of the way home. I fed her and gave her water last night. She is much more comfortable today. Yes, she misses you very much, I can tell. I knew she would be missing you, when I saw how close, she was with you, before I left.
I am slowly introducing her to my male afghan. They only get together outside on leashes. Larisa saw the female bedlington and acted like she was going to fight her. The bedlington didnt do anything but Larisa was very dominant. That really surprised me. I am not going to let them be together at all. I think Larisa is comming into heat, so I am going to keep her away from my male too. Have you noticed the female french bulldogs personality changing when they are in heat? I know the other breeds I have had over the years do. I had one afghan hound female that was so sweet, but when she was in heat, she was a monster and would snap at all the dogs. Then when her heat cycle was over, she would revert back to being a sweet dog. I guess it is dog PMS. I took her for a short ride in the car on my lap and she did fine today. I did not want her to be afraid of cars, from her bad experience on the way home. We rolled down the window and drove slow and she enjoyed it. I bought a harness for her today and she is doing good. I want to get her trained on a leash, so we can go to the park. I will give Larisa a kiss for you! Thank you for selling her to me. Could you email me the pictures of Larisa’s parrents? I wanted to show them to my son, Tyler. I have included my information for her papers below.
Take care, Von.
I just wanted to update you on Brutus! He is so adorable. Shy. Sleepy!!! We love him to pieces! He is eating and drinking. He is a bundle of joy! He is getting used to us. Saturday morning he woke up and started to play with us and the toy we got him. then he goes to sleep for a little and wakes up to play some more!
Thank you!
Catie.
Beatrissa in her new home in Florida
Greetings Elena!
Bertie (Beatrissa) is well. Actually she is better than well. She went to the vet yesterday received her shots and and many compliments both on her beautiful markings and her sweet disposition. She is the light of our life! My children adore her and she them. Hans is the only one who was a little unsure in the first few days. But Bertie in her way is winning him over. You were so right about how smart she is! We just love her so much and cannot thank you enough for both of our angels that you sent to us. Hans is goofy and childlike with a zest for life and food! He entertains us with all of his crazy antics, but when he is a tired little man he just wants to cuddle up and get loved. Bertie is gentle yet fierce! She did not back down to Hans and my other dog (who is a female pug) in the first evening after her arrival during their initial inspection of the new kid on the block. She was so brave I loved her forever in that instance. She loves to give kisses and is truly so affe ctionate.
She sleeps throughout the night in my room and tends to roll over on her back belly up. At first you could tell she was used to sleeping with the other puppies as she would move and move but we bought for her a stuffed puppy slightly larger than she with similar markings and she usually lays over it and sleeps peacefully. I think she seems extremely happy and settled and we are so glad she is here. Both of these lovely bulldogs have been a wonderful addition to our family and are very loved. I will include a few photos that I took with my phone but I have some gorgeous photos of her and Hans that I have taken with a bet ter camera I just have to figure out how to import them to my computer. I will forward them when I get it right! Again thanks so much to you and Phil, and Bertie says hi!
Fondly, Brook.
We promised you some photos so here are a few! Bertie is growing so fast and becoming quite the wild child. We can’t imagine life before her..she is wonderful, and so incredibly smart. She is almost completely trained to go outside even goes to the door to let us know, so clever!
She is nothing like we read about english bulldogs as she is not quiet and speaks her mind frequently. Plays and plays, she is the silent stalker in her play!! We swear she can understand english sometimes. I mean sooooo smart. We keep a good eye on her weight as she would eat until her sides split, and the vet says she is doing excellent. So again we thank you for sending us again Bertie and Hans.
